A young man, thinking himself to be perhaps philosophical, actually said to me recently, "Have you no shame?" And while I didn’t answer him directly, I did consider the question introspectively. Ashamed for what? I haven't lied on anyone, falsified anyone's drug test, bribed anyone to torment and cast the homeless out of a shelter. I haven't subverted justice to anyone, certainly not to the least among us. Therefore, ashamed for what? Being homeless? Hmmmm.
It's never about the vessel personally, but rather that which the vessel represents, which in my assignment just so happens to be "The Least of These."
Matthew 25:45 "He will reply, ’Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’
There is no such thing as "...isms" of any sort when providing services unto the least of these. For certain, no deceit, vengeance, nor criminality should ever be added, for such is darkness, and therefore ungodly.
