We understand your urgency and desire for God to work in your husband's life and marriage. We will pray and provide biblical encouragement and advice for you both.
Firstly, we commend you for praying in Jesus' name, as this is the only way we can access God the Father. It is written, For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB)
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister and her husband. Lord, we ask that You make him a born-again Christian, that he would come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. We pray a total unity and agreement between them, that they both would align their lives with Your will, as shown in your word:
Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh. (Genesis 2:24 WEB)
Father, we ask that You bless their relationship, marriage, and future together in every way. Draw them closer to each other and to You, and let their love, desire, and attraction for each other grow stronger each day. We pray so in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
We also pray that You would destroy all false gods, idols, and ungodly beliefs and teachings that may have a hold on him. Break every chain and bondage, and let him be set free. Cast out all spirits not of You, O Lord, and let the Holy Spirit take full control in his life.
Father, we ask that You would reveal yourself to him in a mighty way. Appear to him, Lord, and make him Yours, in Jesus' name we pray.
Sister, continue to pray fervently for your husband, and trust that God is at work. Remember that a wife of noble character is a crown to her husband, (Proverbs 12:4a WEB) and that you are a representative of Christ in his life.
Be an example of godliness and submission, as it is written:
Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the assembly, being himself the savior of the body. But as the assembly is subject to Christ, so let the wives also be to their own husbands in everything. (Ephesians 5:22-24 WEB)
Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it; (Ephesians 5:25 WEB)
Also Wives, be subject to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives, and don’t be bitter against them. (Colossians 3:18-19 WEB)
Finally, we advise you to be patient and trust God's timing. Remember that the effective, earnest prayer of a righteous man is powerfully effective. (James 5:16b WEB). Trust that God is at work, and that He desires for all to come to repentance and a knowledge of the truth:
who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth. (1 Timothy 2:4 WEB)
who is the Savior of all people, especially of those who believe. (1 Timothy 4:10b WEB)
We will continue to pray for you and your husband, and we encourage you to keep seeking God's will for your lives together.
