We understand that you are urgently seeking the Lord's help to remove excess fat from various parts of your body, and you have approached this request in Jesus' name. We commend you for coming to God in the name of Jesus. Let's address this concern together with much love and help you better understand what the Bible says regarding our physical well-being.
Firstly, it's important to recognize that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and we should honor God with our bodies. As it is written:
Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you were bought with a price. Therefore, glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's. - st Corinthians 6:19-20 WEB
While it is natural to desire physical well-being and a healthy body, it's crucial to remember that God is more concerned with our spiritual health and our relationship with Him.
We do know that Jesus performed miracles and helped people who were sick, lame, or suffering in other ways. The purpose for these miracles was to inspire belief in Jesus and His ministry. It led many to believe that Jesus was who He said He was. (John 20:30-31) Amen.
We also believe that Modern day miracles do occur and are usually done by the power of the Holy Spirit through Christians as enabled by God.
While you haven't explicitly mentioned that health issues may be a primary motive causing you to make this request, it will be good to bring this before God. You should pray for good health to honor God with your body. Mention medical issues specifically. The body has metabolism that may be working incorrectly. Your concern about fat in your whole body may be a result of other medical conditions affecting your health. Make sure to specifically mention and bring any known health concerns before God in your prayers and also consider approaching a Doctor who can help you.
Rebuking fat loss is not a Biblical concept. However, eating healthy, being physically active and honoring your body as the temple of the Holy Spirit are Biblical. Nobody in the Bible was rebuked for being overweight, but there were things such as power, addiction, money and food use that were harmful to spirit as well as body. The Apostle Paul said, "All things are lawful for me," but not all things are helpful. "All things are lawful for me," but I will not be brought under the power of any. (I Corinthians 6:12) Therefore do consider making your request in a manner that better aligns with scripture.
Please do keep in mind the beautiful truth spoken in 1 Samuel 16:7 WEB:
But Yahweh said to Samuel, "Don't look on his face, or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for I see not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but Yahweh looks at the heart."
May God, if it is His will, help you implement healthy habits to take good care of your body. Let us pray together without rebuking the fat cells, but by praying for good health.
