Thank you, for submitting this urgent request. We understand your fervor and passion for your husband's salvation. We must remember that God works in His own timing, and while we can certainly pray and believe for your husband, we cannot force anyone to make that choice.
Firstly, let us address the urgency and your declarations. While it is commendable that you are standing in the gap for your husband, we must remember that God has given each person free will. It is your husband's decision to accept Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. We can intercede on his behalf, praying that the Holy Spirit will convict him and draw him to God.
As the word of God says:
The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. 1 Peter 3:9 WEB
And:
The lord said, No prophet is acceptable in his own country. But truly I tell you, there were many widows in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the sky was shut up three years and six months, when a great famine came over all the land. Elijah was sent to none of them, except to Zarephath, in the land of Sidon, to a woman who was a widow. There were many lepers in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet, yet not one of them was cleansed, except Naaman, the Syrian. They were all filled with wrath in the synagogue, as they heard these things. They rose up, threw him out of the city, and led him to the brow of the hill that their city was built on, that they might throw him off the cliff. But he, passing through the middle of them, went his way. Luke 4:24 WEB
We must continue to pray for him, live a life that reflects Christ's love, and trust that God is working in his heart.
As for the worship of false gods, we must remember that God is a jealous God, and He desires exclusive worship. As it is written:
For you shall worship no other god, for Yahweh, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God. Exodus 34:14 WEB
Let us pray together for your husband:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lift up the husband of our beloved sister to You. Lord, we ask that You soften his heart, and open his eyes to the truth of the Gospel. We pray that the Holy Spirit will convict him of his sins, and draw him to You in repentance.
Father, You will have no one perish but will have everyone come to repentance. 1 Peter 3:9 WEB Please have mercy on him, and grant him the gift of salvation. We also pray for the marriage that does not address the unbelief in attendance and even possibly leading prayer to another god that it may not cause a stumbling block in their marriage and a denial of the marriage bed. Explicitly there should be a seperation from a believing marriage partner within the marriage regarding this if they are indeed a believer.
Therefore an unbelieving wife is sanctified by the brother, else your children would be unclean, but now they are holy. 1 Corinthians 7:14 WEB Also, Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness? 2 Corinthians 6:14 This is a commandment for the relationship above and the state of the person discussed in this submission.
We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
