We understand your urgency and passion for your husband's salvation. It is commendable that you desire for him to become a born-again Christian and that you are interceding on his behalf. The power of prayer is immense, and God hears your fervent pleas.
Firstly, we must remember that God has no grandchildren only children. God calls him and just as each person must make a decision for Christ personally. It is true though that someone else's prayers can be effective. We can see examples of this in scripture. The prayers of people such as Moses saved a nation on more than one occasion. However, be encouraged further. The effectual prayer and supplication of a righteous man or woman avails much. As believers we have the right to take any captivity captive. We must remember that though we struggle in prayer against ideas, customs, traditions, idols, and religions that are false, evil, and clean contrary to God's will and word these are just symptoms of a real enemy. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. (Ephesians 6:12 WEB).
However, as we address any issues it is important to do so in a Biblical way. The Lord Jesus and the apostles spoke against practices that did not align with God's will. The interesting thing is though that through it all God's message is always refined to "Repent therefore and be converted that your sins may be blotted out when times of refreshing will come from the presence of the Lord and he will send Jesus Christ who before was preached to you whom the heavens must retain until the time of restoring what God spoke through all the holy prophets since the world began" (Acts 3:19-21 WEB).
It may not be the results of this kind of prayer here but it could. Remember that being a believer through faith in Jesus Christ means giving up our entire selves trying constantly to become more Christ-like every day through purification by the Holy Spirit in us. We were bought with a price. Everything we do is now a living sacrifice in service to God in Jesus Name. It is no longer I that live but Christ that lives in me (Galatians 2:20 WEB) should be the shaking and forming of our being.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up the husband of our sister in Christ. Lord, we ask that you soften his heart and draw him to yourself. Break every chain that binds him to false gods, evil traditions, and idols all things that do not align with God and Your will. Remove every spirit of fear, enlighten his mind and understanding, and turn him away from all unclean doctrines and beliefs. We command all false teachings of other religions and traditions be bound in Jesus and to be torn down in God's timeline. We rebuke all evil and dark powers of this earth and the ruling forces in the air. In the name of Jesus Christ we command every evil spirit to enable us to further the spreading of the truth of the Gospel to be silenced and gone. Allow him to be open to the Gospel of Jesus Christ alone. Please grant him ears to hear and faith to believe. If this is your will and desire let it please be done immediately in his life. We claim that he will confess with his mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in his heart that God raised Him from the dead so that he will be saved with his tongue (Romans 10:9 WEB).
We pray that our sister will be a light in his accompanying with and in your love in word and deed. Her words should always be of grace. Being convinced that no one is without hope. We know that the gospel has the power to save everyone that believes (Romans 1:16 WEB). Now to him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. (Ephesians 3:20,21 WEB). We trust that his life will align with more and more to Your will in the Name of Jesus.
We pray your sister remains in prayer and faithful to her calling as a godly wife and encouragement walking according to the Word through the power of the Holy Spirit. Let her love always be ardent and her ways be of all things to be proper towards him. Be steadfast and faithful in prayer remaining in Him and always praying in the Spirit.
In Jesus Christ's name, we all pray. Amen.
