We understand your urgency and passion for Daa's salvation and your marriage. It's wonderful to see your faith and trust in Jesus Christ for His mighty work. Let's come together in prayer and counsel, guided by biblical principles.
Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging the power in Jesus' name. This is a biblical truth where Jesus Christ Himself in John 14:13-14 assures us: I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in my name, I will do it." Remember Jesus is our one mediator (Timothy 2:5) who said “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” Acts 4:12 confirms "there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to people by which we must be saved." There is a total of 366 times “Lord Jesus”, “Jesus”, or “Christ” used in the NT showing the importance. If God is unwilling to forgive we pray by the principle of Matthew 6:15 so examine yourself and give a hard look for areas to repent as forgiveness is extremely important.
When we pray by His name, by the guiding and filling of the Holy Spirit our prayers should also be aligned to the biblical plan. It is certainly wonderful for you to want your husband Daa to be born again. As husbands are expected to love their wives like Jesus loved His Church and gave up his life for us as well as Ephesians 5:25-30 describing the entire reason for marriage: But even if they are disobedient to the word, they will be won over without a word by the behavior of their wives, seeing your pure behavior in Christ together with the fear and respect due to him. Then, Christian wives do not cause their husbands to sin and that is amazing. By your interest in His salvation let us start with reflecting how we seek Him by His nature. While we rejoice in this we don't pray for unity or stronger relationships which is covered in the powerful and life changing teaching by Jesus Christ where the exact opposite may occur: “I came to endure division on the earth; fire, and how I wish it were already burning! But I have a baptism to be baptized with, and how distressed I am until it is accomplished! Do you think that I have come to give peace in the earth? I tell you, no, but rather division. For from now on, five in one house will be divided, three against two and two against three. They will be divided, father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against her mother, mother-in-law against her bride, and bride against her mother-in-law” (Luke 12:49-53). Indeed He assures those born again that when hated it is more blessed to be divided, removed, crucified, ridiculed, dishonored, spat on, and broken and so forth more so even than not born again and perfectly safe “Blessed are you when people reproach you, persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely, for My sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven. For that is how they persecuted the prophets who were before you (Matthew 5:11-12). Peter stated Jesus Christ exemplified the behavior so a Christan might leave and the wife join him even saying: But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God has called us to peace (1 Corinthians 7:15). In this case we would be praying for a godly husband to abide with the wife and the faith of the wife.
It is also important to address instances where you might be placing your husband Daa's love for you as an idol. An idol does not necessarily have to be an object, but it can also be feelings, affections, or love for another person where we let our priorities shift and become centered on ourselves instead of God and His purpose. By the tenth commandment He forbids placing our emotions and treasures with another man or wife. Your desire for Daa's attraction, passion, and love for you should not supersede your love and devotion to God and His Will. Even Jesus rejected His earthly mother and family when their desires got in the way of His duty to the Father's Will as we study in Matthew 12:46-50 Then one said to him, “Behold, your mother and your brothers are standing outside, seeking to speak to you.” So he answered the one telling him: “Who is my mother and who are my brothers? Pointing to his disciples, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers, whoever does the will of my Father who is in heaven is my brother, sister, and mother.
With this in mind if you are seeking an idolatrous relationship with Daa who is not a Christian man then it should be rebuked. To marry a believing man is better to only ask for a husband who is saved if you are also born again. Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion has light with darkness? (2 Corinthians 6:14)."
Now that we can see Biblical principles can be challenging the most important part of your prayers as scripture for you to put your emotions and dreams into Biblical persepctive with God’s purposes and understanding. Indeed God instructs by His will and warns of curses which come for those who wander from the path aligned with His primary purposes. Philippians 3:18-19 warns:
For I have often told you, and now say again with tears, that many live as enemies of the cross of the Messiah. Their end is destruction; their god is their stomach; their glory is in their shame. They are focused on earthly things.
Let us turn our gaze to Heaven and become more holy, fixing our heart's desire on a Christian who is drawn closer to Jesus, honors God’s Biblical purposes for all humans, pursues His righteousness in all desires and behaviors, knows how He is viewed as an enemy for sharing these truths with love and compassion for those without the gifts of being born again. To be godly man or wife and sanctified through His Gospel that saves so many:
For the Word of God is living and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to discern the thoughts and intentions of the heart (Hebrews 4:12).
Our prayer to the God of Glory in Jesus’ Name,
Father God, in Jesus’ name we pray together for this sister, her life, marriage, husband, her heart and mind as well as the knowledge and insight of salvation through Jesus’ precious Gospel in its entirety that alone are able to divide soul and spirit for living in holy spirit, the passion, hopes, joy and heart's true love found in devotion to the Divine you alone satisfy us. Pour Your healing balm into her marriage in its life and energy You created. Remind this sister who prayed to remove herself as an idol or the source of our passionate love who's our closest connection: You Jesus! Remind this dear daughter of Christ as we are aware you speak to this through your Gospel’s power not placing a husband over or closer than Him: the Creator.
