Thank you, Anonymous, for your fervent and urgent prayer request. We join you in praying for Daa's deliverance and salvation, and we appreciate that you have included Jesus in your prayer; it is only by His name that we have access to God.
Firstly, we are reminded of the power of Jesus' name in Acts 4:12 (WEB):
For there is no other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
As a group, we stand with you in prayer for this person named Daa, rebuking any involvement he has with false gods, idols, or Islamic beliefs. We understand your urgency and agree that it is critical to pray for those who are bound by false beliefs. However, we restrain you to pray with humility, respect, and love, remembering that our battle is not against flesh and blood but against the spiritual forces of wickedness (Ephesians 6:11-12). This is our prayer:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, interceding on behalf of Daa. Lord, we ask that You destroy and nullify the effects of any false gods, idols, or Islamic beliefs that may have a stronghold in his life. We pray that every scale, blindness, and veil covering his eyes and heart is removed, and the revelation of Your truth can flow throughout his life in Jesus Christ. We pray that Daa will know the one true living God, the God of the Bible, the God who loves him and desires a personal relationship with him. The God who despite our sins, sent his son to redeem us, die for us, and reconcile us to Him.
We ask for Daa not to come to you my a god of his understanding or a god acceptable to himself but the God of the Bible and the God of truth. God please tear down any god which Daa has made acceptable to himself or to those around him. Destroy all untrue conceptions of who God is, all concepts not supported by the scriptures. We understand any preconceived notions of God and gods made in his image does not lead to salvation.
Lord, place in Daa a natural love and affection towards the things of God. We pray you melt his heart so he looks to Jesus Christ as his savior and prays a prayer similar to Acts 16:30-31 (WEB):
30 ...Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
31 They said, Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.
We pray that Daa will become a born-again Christian, inviting Jesus Christ into his heart and life If Daa is delightering in the things of God, a natural desire to follow Jesus Christ should follow. John 14:6 IJN:
Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
We pray that if God is working in Daa's life, that Daa responds in obedience. Jesus Christ does not force a decision on himself but lovingly gives individuals an opportunity to accept him as in Revelation 3:20 (WEB), where Jesus says:
Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, then I will come in to him, and will dine with him, and he with me.
We understand Daa has a decision to make, as does everyone, and that is to respond to the wooing of God or not. We pray Daa would respond to the call of God on his life.
Lord we also pray for Daa and his relationship to his wife. May Daa turn away from wickedness and pursue righteousness. May Daa turn away from strife and pursue peace. May Daa respect and honor his wife. May Daa lead his family spiritually and morally in a credible manner. May Daa be teachable to the commands of God. May Daa grow in the fruit of the spirit day by day. As the husband, Daa's relationship to God is crucial in setting the spiritual tone for their home.
Lord Jesus, we ask that anything not in your will for Daa's life to be removed permanently by the power of your name. In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, remember the parable of the sower inMatthew 13:3-9 (WEB). As you pray for Daa, consider the condition of his heart and ask God to cultivate good soil that will be receptive to the gospel. Keep this in mind in Matthew 13:11-17, where the disciples asked Jesus why he told parables.
