Firstly, we notice that you have not mentioned Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ. This is an issue because we can only approach God and deal with any issue through the name of Jesus Christ. To be saved and be able to deal with any issue, the Bible requires that we believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Lastly, We need to address something else you mentioned, the idea of melting the surgeon's heart towards you and asking God to have him go above and beyond, sounds like you are asking God to cause this person to have feelings for you. Although we want the surgeon to have a caring attitude and do his best, We are warned in the 10 Commandments to not covet. It is important to remember that Exodus 20:17 says: You shall not covet your neighbor's house. You shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor's.
