We understand your urgency and deep concern for your husband's salvation and your marriage. First, we want to commend you for your desire to see your husband come to faith in Jesus Christ. Remember, it is only by the name of Jesus that we must be saved according to Acts 4:12.
Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved.
Saving faith is a work of the Holy Spirit in a person's heart. While you cannot make this happen, you can pray, live a godly life before him, and share the gospel with him. Let's pray for God to work in his heart and for wisdom for you.
Lord, we lift up the husband of Anonymous to you. We ask that you soften his heart and open his eyes to the truth of the gospel. Grant Anonymous the wisdom and grace to be a light to her husband, that he may see Jesus in her and be drawn to you. Lord, bring unity and agreement between them, that their marriage may flourish and glorify you. Deepen their love for each other, but more importantly draws them both closer to you. In Jesus Christ name. We ask this prayer believing.
Regarding your marriage, it's beautiful to see your desire for a stronger, deeper union. This is God's design for marriage. Remember what Ephesians 5:31 says:
For this cause a man will leave his father and mother, and will be joined to his wife. The two will become one flesh.
But also remember that true unity comes from being united in Christ and in His purposes. Make sure that your desire for closeness is rooted in a shared pursuit of God's will.
Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the assembly, being himself the savior of the body. But as the assembly is subject to Christ, so let the wives also be to their own husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it; that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word, that he might present the assembly to himself gloriously, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. Even so ought husbands also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself. For no man ever hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord also does the assembly; because we are members of his body, of his flesh and bones. For this cause a man will leave his father and mother, and will be joined to his wife. The two will become one flesh. This mystery is great, but I speak concerning Christ and of the assembly.
Lastly, we want to encourage you to trust in God's timing. While you may want everything to happen without delay, remember that God's timing is perfect.
Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and donโt lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Donโt be wise in your own eyes. Fear Yahweh, and depart from evil.
Please let us know how we can continue to pray for you both and your husband's salvation.
