We understand your urgent prayer request for a person named Daa. Firstly, let’s say there is power in the name of Jesus Christ.
``For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus``
- (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB).
We are instructed to pray in Jesus’ name, as ``Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it.`` -John 14:13-14 (WEB).
Praying in Jesus' name is essential for effective prayer. Remember it is only by the name of Jesus we can be saved ``in none other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!`` - Acts 4:12 (WEB)
The word of God is powerful and effective. You quoted part of John 14:13-14:
``Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it.``
However, Jesus when he promised us this power it was contingent upon our relationship with Him, and abiding and in Him and Him in our lives.
First, it is important to rebuke you for your use of repetitive language. Believers are not heard for their much speaking, repetition, or the use of magical sounding phrases, incantations, or repetitious verbiage. Nor do these sort of prayers glorify God or edify men.
``But when you pray, don’t use vain repetitions as the Gentiles do;`` - Matthew 6:7 (WEB)
Furthermore, as we deal with supernatural requests, we want to remind you of the importance of Jesus’ authority and sovereignty. We are powerless without Jesus. So, our role is to make our requests known, and it’s Jesus’ role to decide according to his own will.
``For this reason, we also, from the day we heard this, don’t cease praying and making requests for you,`` - Colossians 1:9 (WEB).
``Don’t be anxious for anything; but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving,`` - Philippians 4:6 (WEB).
You also requested that all spirits not consistent with the Spirit of God be removed from Daa and that all barriers to Daa’s love towards you be removed and for Daa to commit his life to Christ. Remember, Salvation is an act of one’s own free will and cannot be brought about by the passionate journey of another.
Coming to Christ means calling to him, believing in him, repenting from sin, confessing to Jesus Christ, and submitting to him as Lord over your life.
``That if thee will confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and will believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever will call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.`` Romans 10:9-13 (WEB)
The core of your prayer request is for Daa to fall in love, commit to and marry you. Our rebuke to you is there is no substitution for the will of God being done in Daa’s life. We caution you not to project your own agenda or life plan onto Daa. Our role is to pray that the will of God be accomplished in Daa’s life. Your request that Jesus make Daa attracted to only you, love only you, have more love, attraction, and commitment to you every day, open up to only you his deepest feelings, and make you and Daa whole relationship grow closer, stronger, deeper, and flourish every day may be your desire for your relationship with Daa, but does not necessarily represent Jesus’ plan for Daa’s life. Jesus' plan could include you, or it could include someone else. Our response to you is that we will pray for the will of God to be accomplished in Daa’s life. We will not pray for your will to be done, but for our Father in heaven’s will to be done in Jesus’ name. That is unless you can cite a general or specific verse from the Bible that supports your contention that Daa should fall in love, commit to and marry you.
Jesus desires our love for Him to be first in our lives. He desires that we not turn aside from it because of lust, or a desire for a person of the opposite sex outside of a Christian biblical marriage. Even if lust or an unwise relationship is not involved, an obsession with a specific relationship or even with marriage can lead the believer away from a close relationship with the Lord.
We are to dwell on the positive and those things which lead to godliness instead of what we perceive as a need for a relationship.
``Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things.`` - Philippians 4:8 (WEB)
Our prayer is:
Lord Jesus Christ, we pray in your name that you intervene in Daa’s life. That you protect him in all circumstances from harm both physical and spiritual. That you rescue him from all enemies and adversaries. That you draw Daa to a deep and close relationship with you. We pray in Jesus name remembering ``For all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God;`` Romans 3:23 (WEB) That there is no exception and that each of us is guilty of sin against God ``For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.`` - Romans 6:23 (WEB) That the only hope any of us have is the love of God the Father who gave his only begotten son Jesus Christ that which ever will believe in him will not perish but have never ending life. ``It is a faithful saying, worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief. For the grace of God hath appeared, bringing salvation to all men,`` - (1 Timothy 1:15 & Titus 2:11 WEB).
To that end we pray that you grant Daa a heart that wants to know you; a mind and eyes open to the gospel message that only Jesus can save Daa from sin; that the only path is Jesus to receive the gift of the salvation from their sin; and a loving and trusting heart that reaches back towards God through the faith of Jesus Christ.
We pray in Jesus’ name for you and your request, we pray that what can be known of God is already clear in your own life because God has made it clear ``For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them.`` - Romans 1:19 (WEB). Just as he has done for Jesus to be revealed in my life and in Daa’s life. It is clear to see ``because that which is known of God is revealed in them, for God revealed it to them.`` - Romans 1:19 (WEB).
We pray that you receive in Jesus’ name a spirit of discernment. ```But solid food is for those who are full grown, who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern good and evil.`` - Hebrews 5:14 (WEB).
In the honest and sincere spirit of this discussion we pray this prayer to our Lord and our God in Jesus’ name. Amen.
We are glad you reached out for prayer and biblical guidance. You are a precious soul, and the Lord cares for you deeply. Jesus loves you very much. We encourage you to continue to seek the good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. ``I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks, be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places; that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable before God our Savior; who wills that all people should be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all; the testimony in its own times;`` - 1 Timothy 2:1-6 (WEB).
``For whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.`` - Romans 10:13 (WEB)
It is our prayer in Jesus' name that God lead you into a faith relationship with Jesus Christ. We pray in Jesus' name that you find and follow the perfect will of God. We pray in Jesus' name that God will lead you into his perfect will for your life including for marriage should God be willing.
