We are thrilled to hear of your fervent faith and the powerful declarations you've made for your husband's salvation and your marriage. It's beautifully evident that you have a deep desire for God to work in your husband's life and in your relationship. We will pray with you, aligning our hearts with the Lord's will.
Firstly, we want to commend you for declaring the name of Jesus Christ in your prayer. It is only through His name that we have access to God, and it is only by that name that we can be saved. The name of Jesus is powerful and there is no other name by which we can be saved Acts 4:12. We can only come to God by the name of Jesus and this is very important.
When praying for your husband’s salvation, remember that it is the Holy Spirit's role to convict and draw him to Christ. Our prayers should align with God's will, trusting in His perfect timing and methods. As it is written, "The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." 2 Peter 3:9.
Regarding your marriage, it's wonderful to see your passion and commitment. Marriage is a sacred covenant designed by God, and it's encouraging to see you seeking His blessing and protection over your union. Remember the words of Ephesians 5:31-33, "For this cause a man will leave his father and mother, and will be joined to his wife. The two will become one flesh. This mystery is great, but I speak concerning Christ and of the assembly. Nevertheless each of you must also love his own wife even as himself; and the wife must see that she respects her husband."
However, we must also address the intimacy you mentioned. While it's natural to desire a close bond with your spouse, it's crucial to ensure that this desire is expressed in a way that honors God. The Bible is clear that sexual desire should be expressed within the bounds of marriage. Since you are married, this is in line with Biblical principles. In fact, the only times in the Bible that sex is endorsed is between a husband and wife. Hebrews 13:4 reads, "Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled, but God will judge the sexual sinner and the adulterer."
Let's pray together:
"Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister and her husband. Lord, we ask that You work in his heart, drawing him to Yourself, and granting him the gift of salvation. We pray for their marriage, that it would be blessed, protected, and strengthened in every way. Help them to desire only each other, and to love and respect one another deeply. Give them unity and agreement, and help them to always put You first in their lives. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Continue to trust in God, and remember that His timing is perfect. Keep praying and believing, and we will join you in this journey of faith.
