We understand your urgent desire for unity and a Christ-centered relationship, which is truly very important. We are instructed in the scriptures,
However, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and truth. 1 John 3:18 WEB
Love is not merely a feeling or emotion, but it is an action. We are to put the needs of our spouse above our own.
We must point out that there is no mention of the capital L 'Lord' in your prayer.
but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and forever. Amen. 2 Peter 3:18 WEB
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB
The word 'Lord' should always be capitalized as it refers to God, the creator of the universe.
We must also rebuke you for the inappropriate desire for your spouse to have desire and attraction for only you. This is covetousness, lust, and greed. These are sins. Of course, God wants us to only have our spouse as our sexual and intimate desire, but this is not something that is to be prayed for in listing for God to make happen. We are to pray for God's will and to obey the Holy Spirit in faith. Our desires should be conformed to God's will, not the other way around.
but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ, his Son, cleanses us from all sin. 1 John 1:7 WEB
Having fellowship with one another is very important. It is the light that Jesus is in and what we are to walk in.
We are also instructed,
Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the assembly, being himself the savior of the body. Ephesians 5:22-23 WEB
There is a specific order and structure in the authority that God has made. You are not to make him do anything or control him in any way. We are to submit to our husbands and our husbands are to submit to Christ.
We do not have the power to make anyone else have a relationship with Christ. That is between each person and God. We will pray that God will reveal Himself to your husband and that He will have a personal relationship and faith in Jesus Christ.
Let's pray together:
Heavenly Father,
We come before you, lifting up this dear sister and her husband. We pray that You will reveal Yourself to him and that he will enter into a personal and saving relationship with You. We ask that You will give them both a spirit of unity and agreement, that they may walk together in Your light. Help them to love each other deeply, to respect and cherish one another, and to grow in their affection and desire for each other in a godly manner. Protect their relationship, make it stronger, and help them to be soul mates, companions, and friends in every way. Guide them to always put You first, seeking Your will and Your kingdom above all else.
In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
