We understand your urgency and your desire for ### to become a born-again Christian and for there to be unity between you and your husband. We will pray with you and provide biblical guidance. First, let's pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up ### and their spouse. We pray that ### would have a genuine encounter with You, Lord, and that he would invite Jesus Christ into his heart and life. We ask that You would bring unity and agreement between ### and their husband, as they both seek to follow You. We pray for ###'s relationship with ###, that it would flourish in a manner that honors You, for a Christian marriage.
Now, let's look at some biblical principles and encouragements.
Firstly, it's important to remember that we cannot force anyone to become a Christian. It is the work of the Holy Spirit to draw people to Christ. Our role is to share the gospel, pray, and live lives that reflect Christ's love. As it says in 1 Peter 3:1-2 WEB, "In like manner, wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; so that, even if any don’t obey the Word, they may be won by the behavior of their wives without a word".
Regarding unity in marriage, Ephesians 5:21 WEB says, "subjecting yourselves one to another in the fear of Christ". This mutual submission is key to unity. Also, remember the words of Romans 12:18 WEB, "If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men".
As for the ### relationship that ### will bond with ###, it is assumed that since a marriage is stated earlier that this is a child that will become a Christian. But if this is not correct, the Bible makes it clear that believers should not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. It would take a specific and rare call from God for ### to take a spiritual close relationship, similar to marriage, with an unbeliever.
Remember, Jesus is the name. It is only by His name that we are saved.
2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB says, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"
Lastly, always set your family first. Always set your spouse as the most important person. Like 1 Peter 3:7 WEB says, "Husbands, in like manner, live with your wives according to knowledge".
