We understand your urgency and desire for prayer, and we're here to lift you up together. Firstly let's address your health. Let's pray and address your request in faith, believing in Jesus' name you can and will receive answers to your prayer.
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up your child in prayer. Lord, you said in your Word, "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you." (Matthew 7:7 WEB). We ask you to guide the hands of the surgeon, Dr. ###, and work through them to close the scar on your child's left upper eye, making it invisible, smooth, and completely healed. Remove all lumps and bumps, Lord, and may the results be amazing, filling your child with joy and gratitude. We believe that your will and power are working to make your child whole.
Now, concerning your relationship. It is very important to know that Jesus and the Father are one. Therefore, all prayers are to be offered to the Father in the name of Jesus. The Bible tells us in John 14:6 "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" and in Acts 4:12 "There is salvation in none other, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved."
We also must address the mention of passion. While we want marriages to be strong, loving, and committed, it is important that romance be kept in the confines of marriage. Even in courtship, one should use caution. "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous." (Hebrews 13:4 WEB). It is good to desire a strong and deep relationship, and growing in love for each other is a beautiful thing.
Let us pray:
Lord, we ask that you bless this relationship and draw them closer to you and to each other. May their love, desire, and attraction for each other grow stronger every day, but only as far as is pure and acceptable in your sight. Lord, let them flourish together as their hearts remain in your hands. This request includes a lifelong commitment as marriage should be. We encourage you both to keep yourselves only for each other avoiding any chance of sexual immorality.
Let us pray you both remain in Jesus Christ's abundant love, care, affection, attention, goodness, gentleness, patience, kindness, attraction, and desire. Not as the worldly would but only as you would have it. May you both be filled with these fruits of the Spirit, and may your relationship reflect the pure and selfless love of Christ. "Let each one of you love his wife even as himself; and let the wife see that she respects her husband." (Ephesians 5:33 WEB).
We encourage you both to continually seek God's will for your relationship and live in obedience to His Word. As you both draw nearer to God, He will draw nearer to you. "But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." (Matthew 6:33 WEB).
In closing, let us pray:
Father God, we entrust these hearts into your hands. Let them remain in your hands and fulfill the gift of marriage in a way that is glorifying and honorable in your sight. Let them find true joy and happiness in a relationship with each other that pleases you. Lord, we ask for your protection over them and their relationship. We pray that no one else will fill the desires of their hearts but only each other. We look to you for answers to these prayers. We ask and believe all these things in Jesus Christ's name. Amen.
