We understand your urgency and desire for your husband to become a born-again Christian. It's commendable that you want to see him drawn to Christ and for your marriage to be strengthened in the Lord. Let's pray and seek God's will together according to His word.
Firstly, it's important to remember that we cannot control or persuade someone to believe in Jesus Christ. It's the Holy Spirit that convicts and persuades. However, we can pray for God to soften his heart and open his eyes to the truth of the gospel.
Let's pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister and her husband. Lord, we ask that You remove any barriers or strongholds that may be hindering him from coming to You. Destroy every false god, idol, and ridicule that may be influencing his life. We pray for connection, not control.
Father, we ask that You draw him to Yourself, that he may come to know You as his personal Lord and Savior. We pray for unity in their marriage, that both of them may be in agreement and alignment with Your will and Your word.
We also pray for their relationship, that it may be strengthened, protected, and flourish in every way. May their love, desire, and attraction for each other grow stronger and more passionate each day, reflecting the unconditional love that You have for Your church.
Lord, we ask that You bless every single part of their relationship and marriage. May it be a testament to Your goodness and grace.
In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged by these words from the WEB:
"Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the assembly, being himself the savior of the body. But as the assembly is subject to Christ, so let the wives also be to their own husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it" Ephesians 5:22-25.
"If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures. But if they don't obey, they shall perish by the sword, and they shall die without knowledge. But the hypocrites in heart lay up wrath. They don't cry when he binds them. They die in youth, and their life perishes among the unclean" Job 36:11-14.
"Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?... Or what agreement has a temple of God with idols? For you are a temple of the living God. Even as God said, 'I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they will be my people.'" 2 Corinthians 6:14-16.
Lastly, sister, remember that God desires for all to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth 1 Timothy 2:3-4. Continue to be a godly example to your husband, loving him as Christ loved the church.
