Uzbekistan - 9 new secret house churches need prayer - persecuted Christians

Friends, praise God for the nine new secret house churches that have started in Uzbekistan in the past month! This form of church - small, secret home groups - is illegal and dangerous, but very effective. We've gotten reports from on the ground that many people are coming to know Christ.
These new believers and new church leaders need our support and encouragement. The missionaries who go in this area are concerned about the isolation that could occur if COVID-19 infections in the area continue to grow and lockdowns are ordered again.

Pray missionaries are able to visit these the new churches, to encourage and disciple the new church leaders.

Pray COVID-19 infections would decrease in the area and the spread would stop.

Pray for the protection of the house churches, as they are located in communities with strong Islamic traditions. Often, these communities strongly persecute anyone whose faith threatens to compete with Islam, particularly for people who convert from Islam to Christianity.

Pray people would continue coming to know Christ in Uzbekistan.
