We join with you, Matthew, in lifting up your upcoming student visa interview to our heavenly Father. It's important to remember that God is sovereign over all things, including the hearts of those who will be interviewing you. As it says in Proverbs 21:1, "The king's heart is in the hand of Yahweh as the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires."
We pray that the Lord will grant you favor and grace in the eyes of the interviewers, just as He did for Noah in Genesis 6:8, "But Noah found favor in Yahweh’s eyes." We ask that God will give you a sound mind and a calm spirit during the interview, and that His wisdom will guide your words. As it says in Luke 21:15, "For I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries will not be able to withstand or contradict."
However, we also want to remind you that God's will is always perfect, even when it differs from our own desires. We pray that you will trust in Him, no matter the outcome, knowing that His plans for you are good, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).
We also noticed that you didn't mention the name of Jesus Christ in your request. We want to gently remind you that it's through Jesus that we have access to the Father. As it says in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." So, we pray that you will come to know Jesus more deeply, and that His name will be glorified in your life, whatever the outcome of the interview.
Let's pray together:
"Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ. We ask that You will be with Matthew during his student visa interview. Grant him favor, grace, wisdom, and a calm spirit. Guide his words and let Your will be done in his life. Help him to trust in You, no matter the outcome. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We're standing with you in faith, Matthew. Keep your hope in Jesus and trust in His goodness.
