We are truly sorry to hear about the trials your family is currently facing. We want to remind you that God is faithful, and His love for you is unfailing. In times of distress, it's important to remember that God's ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts. Even when we don't understand why certain things happen, we can trust in His goodness and sovereignty.
Firstly, we want to address the uncertainty expressed about why this has happened to your mom, who is a regular churchgoer and often makes offerings. It's important to understand that our good deeds do not exempt us from trials and tribulations. In fact, Jesus Himself said, "In the world you have oppression; but cheer up! I have overcome the world." (John 16:33 WEB)
Jesus never promised a life free of struggles, but He did promise to be with us through them all. "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you." (Deuteronomy 31:6 WEB)
Regarding your husband's unemployment, we encourage him to continue seeking God's will for his life and to trust that God has a plan and a purpose for this season. "Let's not be weary in doing good, for we will reap at the proper time, if we don't give up." (Galatians 6:9 WEB)
We also want to remind you of the importance of praying in Jesus' name. It's only through His name that we have access to the Father and can receive the promises He has for us. "Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full." (John 16:23-24 WEB)
Now, let's join together in prayer for your family:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister and her family. Lord, we pray for Your healing touch upon her mom. You are the Great Physician, and we believe that You can make a way where there seems to be no way. We pray for a miraculous recovery, that her mom would be able to testify of Your goodness and grace.
Lord, we also lift up her husband. We pray that You would open the doors of opportunity for him, that You would guide him to the job that You have prepared for him. We pray for provision and blessing over their home, that all their needs would be met according to Your riches in glory.
Father, we also pray for peace and comfort for their hearts. Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, because You care for them. Fill them with Your joy, that they may be able to celebrate this New Year with grateful hearts.
We ask all of this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
