We understand your urgent desire for your husband to become a born-again Christian and for your marriage to be strengthened and blessed. We commend you for praying in Jesus' name, as this is the only way we have access to God and salvation (Acts 4:12 "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men, whereby we must be saved.").
Firstly, it's important to remember that while we should pray fervently for our loved ones' salvation, we cannot force anyone to become a Christian. God has given each of us free will, and it is up to your husband to make this decision himself. However, you can influence him through your love, prayers, and Christ-like behavior (1 Peter 3:1-2 "In like manner, wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; so that, even if any don't obey the Word, they may be won by the behavior of their wives without a word; seeing your pure behavior in fear.").
We pray that God will soften your husband's heart and draw him to Jesus (John 6:44 "No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up in the last day."). We ask that God will use you as a tool to reflect His love and grace to your husband.
Regarding your marriage, we pray that God will bless and protect it. We pray that He will draw you both closer to Him and to each other, making your love stronger and more passionate each day (Ephesians 5:25-28 "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it... So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself.").
We also pray that God will fill both of you with His love, joy, peace, and comfort (Galatians 5:22-23 "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.").
Lastly, we gently rebuke the use of ambiguous terms like "###" instead of explicitly stating who you are praying for in your marriage. Clarity in prayer is important, and we should not be ashamed to name those we are interceding for.
Let's pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our sister and her husband. Lord, we ask that You draw him to Yourself, that he would become a born-again Christian and experience the fullness of Your love and salvation. We pray for their marriage, that it would be blessed, protected, and strengthened. Draw them closer to You and to each other, filling them with Your love, joy, peace, and comfort. Help them to desire and love each other more passionately each day, reflecting the unconditional love that You have for Your church.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
