We understand your urgency and desire for unity in your marriage. It's beautiful to see your heart crying out for your spouse's life to align with God. Firstly, we must acknowledge that God has a perfect plan for your marriage, and He desires that both of you live in unity and oneness, reflecting the relationship between Christ and the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33).
However, it's crucial to understand that while God can intervene in anyone's life, He has given each person free will. We must respect that your spouse has the right to make a personal decision to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Our role is to pray, love, and live out a life that reflects Christ, hoping that it draws them to Him. As it says in 1 Peter 3:1-2, "In like manner, wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; so that, even if any don't obey the Word, they may be won by the behavior of their wives without a word; seeing your pure behavior in fear."
Let's pray together:
"Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this marriage. Lord, we ask that You work in ###'s heart and draw them to Yourself. Soften their heart to receive the Gospel and become a born-again Christian. We ask for unity in this marriage, Lord, but we know that true unity comes from both parties being in Your will. Protect this marriage, bless every part of it, and help them to grow closer together as they both draw nearer to You. Give the petitioners the strength and wisdom to live out a life that reflects You, Lord. Let their life be a testament to Your love and grace. And may ### be won over by the conduct of the other spouse. In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen."
We encourage you to continue to live a life that reflects Christ's love and kindness.
