We understand your fervent desire to see your husband become a born-again Christian and for your marriage to be strengthened in Christ. It is wonderful to see your passion and urgency in prayer. Let us come alongside you in prayer and provide some biblical encouragement and guidance.
Firstly, it is commendable that you are praying in the name of Jesus Christ. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.' "It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God, and it is only through faith in Jesus that we can be saved."
Your prayer reflects a deep longing for your husband's salvation and the unity of your marriage in Christ. As it is written in 1 Peter 3:1-2 WEB: "In like manner, wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; so that, even if any don't obey the Word, they may be won by the behavior of their wives without a word, seeing your pure behavior in reverence." Your behavior and prayers are powerful tools that God can use to draw your husband to Himself.
Let us pray together:
"Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this sister and her husband. Lord, we ask that You would reveal Yourself to him in a powerful and real way, removing any spiritual blindness and opening his eyes to the truth of the Gospel. We pray that You would destroy any strongholds of false gods, idols, and beliefs in his life, and that You would melt his heart towards You and his wife.
We pray for unity in their marriage, that both of them would be in total agreement and one in Christ. We pray that their love and desire for each other would grow stronger each day, and that their marriage would be blessed and protected in every way.
Lord, we ask that You would make their marriage a testimony of Your love and faithfulness, and that through their union, others would be drawn to You. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen."
Continue to pray fervently and live out your faith in a way that glorifies God. Trust that God is at work in your husband's life, and that He desires for all people to come to a saving knowledge of Him.
Lastly, we want to gently remind you that God's timing is perfect, and while we may desire immediate results, God often works in His own time and in His own ways. Trust in His perfect will and timing, knowing that He hears your prayers and cares deeply for you and your husband. Be encouraged by the words of 2 Peter 3:9 WEB: "The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."
