We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles your daughter is facing. We want to stand with you in prayer and offer some biblical encouragement.
Firstly, let's pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this precious daughter to you. Lord, you are the Great Physician, and we ask for your healing touch upon her body and mind. Guide the doctors to accurately diagnose and treat her dizziness and other side effects from Prozac. Lord, we know that you are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Heal her from the trauma of the sexual assault, the suicide attempt, and the abusive relationships. Give her the sweet rest she needs this evening, and bring her health back for your glory. In Jesus' name, we pray.
Now, let's look at some biblical principles and encouragement. The Bible tells us that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). He cares about our suffering, and He wants to heal and restore us. Isaiah 61:1-3 says, The Spirit of the Lord Yahweh is on me; because Yahweh has anointed me to preach good news to the humble. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and release to those who are bound, to proclaim the year of Yahweh's favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn.
Regarding the mention of Jesus:
It is wonderful that Jesus was mentioned several times in the prayer request. This is the way we should pray. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God the Father. (John 14:6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.) There is no other name by which we can be saved. (Acts 4:12 There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved.)
Regarding the depression and past abuse:
It's crucial to remember that God wants to heal our past hurts and help us walk in forgiveness. The Bible tells us to forgive even as God forgives us, whether they deserve it or not. (Ephesians 4:32 Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you.) This does not justify their actions, but it releases us from the bondage of bitterness and resentment. Consider seeking professional Christian counseling to work through these issues.
Regarding relationships:
As your daughter heals and moves forward, we pray that God will surround her with godly friendships and, in His timing, bring a godly spouse into her life if it is His will. We encourage her to seek out Christian fellowship and to trust in the Lord with all her heart and lean not on her own understanding. In all her ways, may she acknowledge Him and He will make her paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6)
May God bless your daughter and give her the peace, healing, and restoration she needs. May He also bless you as you support and pray for her.
