We understand that you're feeling brokenhearted and overwhelmed, and we want you to know that we're here to pray and offer biblical encouragement. First, we want to recognize your calling upon Jesus Christ. This is essential as it is only by His name that we have access to God. This is made clear in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."
We want to address your concerns about your children and your family's financial situation. It's commendable that you're looking for a more affordable place to live and wanting a godly life.
In Matthew 6:25-34, Jesus teaches us, "Therefore I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will put on. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they? Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan? Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don't toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won't he much more clothe you, you of little faith? Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don't be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's own evil is sufficient."
We pray that you will trust in God's provision and that He will guide you to a more affordable place to live. We pray also that He will provide for your family's needs and give you all the strength and wisdom to navigate these challenging times.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in Jesus Christ to lift up this beloved parent and their family. We thank You for Your loving kindness and faithfulness. Lord, You know the struggles they're facing, the worries that keep them up at night, and the desires of their heart for a godly, easier life. We pray for Your provision, that You would guide them to a more affordable place to live, and that You would supply all their needs according to Your riches in glory.
We pray for their children, that You would watch over them, guide them, and help them to succeed in this world. We ask for strength and wisdom for the parents, that they would be able to navigate these challenging times and be the godly examples their children need. We rebuke the draining and frazzled feelings and cast them out of the family.
We pray for their faith, that it would be strengthened, and that they would trust in Your provision. We ask for Your peace, that it would guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Help them to seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness, knowing that You will add all other things to them.
We pray for their family's finances, that You would help them to manage their money wisely, and that You would provide for all their needs. Father God may you bless all of us with the knowledge of you, and the strength to do Your will. All of this we pray in the name of our Lord, Savior and Redeemer Jesus Christ whose name we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue to cast your cares on the Lord, as Peter tells us in I Peter 5:7, "Cast all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you." Keep trusting in God, keep seeking Him, and keep crying out to Him. He hears you, and He will answer you.
May the Lord bless you and keep you, and may His peace be with you now and always.
