Thank you and I appreciate the wisdom. She's ashamed of her tattoos. God forgives and healsWe are thrilled to hear that your daughter Cieara has come back to God. It is always a cause for celebration when a prodigal returns to the Father. As Cieara undergoes the process of blacking out her tattoos, we stand with you in prayer for her safety, health, and clarity of mind.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Cieara to You. We thank You for drawing her back to Yourself and for the work You are doing in her life. As she goes through this process today, we ask for Your hand of protection upon her. Guide the hands of the professionals working on her tattoos, and let there be no complications or infections. Heal her skin and let it be a symbol of the inner healing and transformation You are bringing about in her life.
Lord, we also pray for Cieara's mind. Let it be clear and focused on You. Remove any anxiety or doubt, and fill her with Your peace and assurance. Let this process be a reminder of how You are washing her clean and making all things new.
Father, we ask that You would continue to guide Cieara in her walk with You. Surround her with godly influences and let her be a light for You in Nevada. We pray that You would Are we asking that you would remove anything in her life which may be leading her to this action. Any continued sin in her new life as a Christian needs to be removed and covered by your grace, forgiveness, love, mercy, and the Redeemer's Blood.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage Cieara to continue to meditate on the Word of God. May she consider this passage:
Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17 WEB.
Many have tattoos from before they accepted Jesus. This is not abnormal, but we must be prayerful about what is on our skin if it does not honor Jesus as a saved individual. It is a disputable thing and not considered by many to be a sin. It is only a sin to get tattoos when they signify idolatry or worldliness or something that would be considered bad or abnormal in Christian circles. We must also be careful of the environment where we get tattoos in that the people who work in and own tattoo parlors may be of worldly and Godless influences and this could make this a stumbling block of susceptibility to you. Tattoos are a permanent addition to your skin and the only way to be rid of them is to get another permanent tattoo. Blacking them out is merely covering them up rather than the removal and risks the same negative spiritual influences as getting a tattoo in the first place. We do not want to make a habit of putting a covering over our sins but rather repenting and seeking Jesus and the Holy Spirit. While repenting you will not have to worry about finding any black ink or huge black blotches on your arms and your skin. Your mind will be free for His glory and you will also be cleaner. Do not worry about the past and your old tattoos as much as about how you will move forward. Remember the explanation of Jesus and the woman with the alabaster box recorded in Luke 7:44-47 WEB: "Turning to the woman, he said to Simon, Do you see this woman? I entered into your house, and you gave me no water for my feet, but she has wet my feet with her tears, and wiped them with the hair of her head. You gave me no kiss, but she, since the time I came in, has not ceased to kiss my feet. You did not anoint my head with oil, but she has anointed my feet with ointment. Therefore I tell you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much. But to whom little is forgiven, the same loves little." He said to her, Your sins are forgiven. Is it true that nobody else could stand up for her and her sin continues as a thorn in her flesh? No, she is forgiven. She has given it all up and she loved much. That is all that matters.
May the Lord continue to guide and bless Cieara on her journey with Him and give discernment for any past mistakes or sins which need His mighty touch which can move mountains.
