We are deeply saddened to hear about the trials your daughter is facing, but we are grateful that you have reached out for prayer and support. We stand with you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
Firstly, we want to address the heartbreaking situation of abuse and manipulation. The Bible tells us that God hates dishonesty and evil (Proverbs 6:16-19). Your daughter's former fiancΓ© has not shown the fruits of the Spirit, which are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). Instead, he has caused pain and confusion, which are not from God.
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus, lifting up this dear daughter who is hurting and confused. Lord, we ask for Your divine intervention in her life. Break the chains of manipulation and abuse that have held her captive. Give her clarity of mind and fill her heart with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Help her to see her worth through Your eyes and to understand that she is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14).
Father, we ask that You heal her broken heart and bind up her wounds (Psalm 147:3). Surround her with godly counsel and support, and help her to find her strength and identity in You alone. Give her the courage to walk away from this harmful relationship and to trust in Your plan for her life.
We also pray for her former fiancΓ©, that he may come to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, turning away from his sinful behavior. But above all, Lord, protect and guide this dear daughter, and help her to live a life that brings glory to Your name. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage your daughter to seek godly counsel and support during this time. The Bible tells us that there is wisdom in a multitude of counselors (Proverbs 11:14). It is important for her to surround herself with people who will speak truth into her life and help her to see the light of Christ.
Lastly, we want to remind you and your daughter of the promise in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." Trust in God's plan and purpose for her life, knowing that He loves her dearly and desires the very best for her.
Please continue to pray with and for your daughter, and do not hesitate to reach out for further support and prayer. We are here to stand with you in the name of Jesus Christ.
