We are truly sorry to hear about the strife within your family. Let's bring this situation before the Lord, seeking His wisdom and peace.
Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging the need for your oldest daughter to apologize. The Bible teaches us about the importance of forgiveness and humility. In Matthew 5:23-24 (WEB), Jesus says, "If therefore you are offering your gift at the altar, and there remember that your brother has anything against you, leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift."
However, we must also remember that we cannot force someone to apologize. What we can do is pray for a softening of hearts and a spirit of humility. Let's pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up this family to You. Lord, You know the tension and strife that they are facing. We ask for Your peace to reign in their home. Soften the hearts of the daughters, Lord, and help them to see each other through Your eyes. Encourage them to forgive as You have forgiven us. Give the oldest daughter the humility and courage to apologize if she has wronged her sister.
Lord, we also pray for the mother, that You would give her the strength and wisdom to navigate this situation. Help her to speak words of life and peace into her daughters' lives.
Lastly, Father, we ask for Your protection over this family. In a world that is often chaotic and dangerous, we ask for Your covering of safety. We claim Your promise in Psalm 91:11 (WEB), 'He will give his angels charge over you, to guard you in all your ways.'
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Remember, it is only through Jesus that we have access to God. His name is powerful, and it is through Him that we receive peace, forgiveness, and eternal life.
In the meantime, we encourage you to continue to model forgiveness and love in your home. Be patient, be kind, and be humble, just as Christ was. We are here for you, praying and believing with you for a resolution to this feud.
