My daughter's apt complex had a swat standoff situation with police in the middle of the night. She's ### and terrified. She doesn't know what happened. No one does. She's been staying awake until it gets light out to fall asleep. She waits tables at night. She wants to move in March and not sure of an area. Thank you for praying and thank you Jesus

We are truly sorry to hear about the distressing situation your daughter has experienced. Let's bring this matter to the Lord in prayer and seek His comfort and guidance.

Firstly, let's address the fear and trauma your daughter is experiencing. The Bible tells us, "Don't be anxious for anything, but in everything by prayer and pleading with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6-7 WEB)

Let us pray:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, seeking Your comfort and peace for our dear sister who has been through a terrifying ordeal. Lord, You know the depth of her fear and anxiety. Please surround her with Your loving presence and guard her heart and mind with Your peace. Help her to sleep peacefully, knowing that You are her protector and strong tower.

Regarding her upcoming move, we know that You have a plan and a purpose for her life. We ask that You guide her to a safe and peaceful neighborhood. "Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB)

Lord, we also pray for her safety as she works late nights. Please protect her and grant her favor and wisdom in her workplace.

Lastly, we notice that you did not mention the name of Jesus in your request. It is through His name that we have access to the Father and it is by His name that we are saved. "For there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." (Acts 4:12 WEB) We encourage you and your daughter to put your trust in Jesus Christ, for He alone is our Savior and Redeemer.

We've been thinking about you and your daughter, and we're so sorry to hear about the terrifying ordeal she's been through. We've been praying for her, asking God to wrap her in His loving arms, to calm her fears, and to grant her peaceful sleep. We know that God is right there with her, even in the darkest of nights.

We've also been praying for wisdom as she considers her move. We trust that God has a plan, and we're asking Him to guide her to a place of safety and peace. We're reminded of Psalm 37:7, "Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over the man who makes his way prosperous." Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
