We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles you are both facing, and we appreciate your desire to seek God's will in this situation. It's encouraging that you have come together in Jesus' name, as He said, "Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them." (Matthew 18:19-20 WEB)
Firstly, we want to address the health concerns. We know that God has the power to heal, and we believe that He wants us to be in good health. The Apostle John wrote "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers." (3 John 1:2 WEB)
We pray for healing in Jesus' name, that God would touch both of your bodies and restore them. "They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall in no way hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover." (Mark 16:18 WEB)
However, we also know that God's ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts. (Isaiah 55:8-9 WEB) So, we pray that God's will be done in your lives, and that He would give you both the strength and grace to endure whatever comes your way.
Regarding the anger and depression, we want to remind you that God is always present to help us with every area of our lives. However, Christians need to examine themselves and seek God and His will for their lives. It is important to understand that anger and depression can be an opportunity for Satan to gain a foothold. Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold. (Ephesians 4:26-27 WEB)
We pray that God would help you both to deal with these emotions in a healthy and godly way. "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6-7 WEB)
We also pray that God would help you to be supportive and patient, as you requested. Remember that "Love is patient, love is kind, ... Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things." (1 Corinthians 13:4-7)
Finally, we want to encourage you both to stay strong in your faith and to continue attending church together. Don't neglect the gathering together, as some do, especially since you see the day approaching. (Hebrews 10:25 WEB). Do not allow the circumstances in your lives to keep you from worshiping God and growing into His image.
We pray all these things in Jesus' name, for we know that it is only through Him that we have access to God. "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus," (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB) And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. (Acts 4:12 WEB)
Thank you for bringing these concerns to us, and we encourage you to continue to seek God's will in all things. Don't hesitate to seek Christian counseling and Biblical guidance from your church leaders.
