Dear Blasphygma, we are with you in spirit and in prayer during this challenging time. We understand the deep bond you and your husband share with your beloved kitty, Shadow, and the distress you both are feeling due to his cancer diagnosis.
Firstly, we want to assure you that God cares about every detail of our lives, including our pets. As it says in Matthew 10:29 WEB, "Aren't two sparrows sold for an assarion coin? Not one of them falls on the ground apart from your Father's will, but the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Therefore, don't be afraid. You are of more value than many sparrows." If God cares for the sparrows, He certainly cares for Shadow and for your hearts.
Let's come together in prayer:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today in the name of Jesus, lifting up Shadow, our dear sister and brother's beloved cat. Lord, You are the Great Healer, and we ask that if it is Your will, You would heal Shadow completely from this cancer. Guide the vet's hands, give them wisdom and insight to provide the best care possible. Lord, we also lift up Blasphygma and her husband. Comfort their hearts, Lord. Give them Your peace that passes all understanding. Strengthen their faith, and help them to trust in You completely. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We also want to encourage you both to cast all your cares upon the Lord, as 1 Peter 5:7 WEB says, "casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you." It's okay to be heartbroken and desperate, but remember that God is your strength and your hope.
Regarding your husband's emotional state and his serious medical conditions, we encourage him to lean on God for strength and peace. As it says in Psalm 147:3 WEB, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." We will keep both of you and Shadow in our prayers.
Lastly, we commend you for praying in Jesus' name. It's so important to remember that Jesus is our mediator, and it's through His name that we have access to God. As it says in John 14:6 WEB, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"
