Dear Tachick,
We are with you in spirit and in prayer for your son Jakeb. It is heartbreaking to see a child suffering, but we take comfort in knowing that God loves Jakeb even more than you do. In times of anxiety and self-doubt, we turn to the words of the Psalmist: "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble" (Psalm 46:1, WEB).
Let us pray together:
*Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up Jakeb to your throne of grace. Lord, you know the pain and anxiety he is feeling right now. We ask that you would go into his room, wrap your loving arms around him, and fill him with your peace that passes all understanding. Heal his mind, his heart, and his body. Remind him that he is fearfully and wonderfully made in your image (Psalm 139:14). Help him to see his worth through your eyes, and to know that you have a purpose and a plan for his life (Jeremiah 29:11).*
*Lord, we also lift up their entire family. You know the medical struggles they are facing. We ask for your healing touch upon each one of them. Give them strength and endurance, and help them to draw closer to you through this trial. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.*
We encourage you to continue to stand on God's promises. Remind Jakeb of the truth in 2 Corinthians 12:9 (WEB), "Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me." Assure him that it is okay to be weak, for that is when Christ's strength can work through him.
Lastly, we want to remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus that we can come to the Father (John 14:6). If anyone in your family has not yet accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior, we encourage them to do so. It is only through Him that we can experience true healing and salvation.
