We are truly sorry to hear about the struggle that your brother Suleman is facing, and we want to assure you that we are standing with you in prayer. It is so important that you are seeking the Lord Jesus Christ in this time of need, as He is the Great Physician who can heal and restore.
Firstly, we want to remind you of the power of prayer and the promises of God. In Matthew 21:22 (WEB), Jesus tells us, "All things, whatever you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive." This means that we can come boldly before the throne of grace and ask for healing and deliverance for Suleman.
We also want to encourage you to trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. Proverbs 3:5-6 (WEB) says, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." This means that even in the midst of this difficult situation, you can have peace knowing that God is in control and that He has a plan for Suleman's life.
Regarding the issue of depression and antidepressants, we want to remind you that God's word tells us to cast all our anxieties on Him, because He cares for us. 1 Peter 5:7 (WEB) says, "casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you." This means that instead of turning to medication alone, we should be seeking the Lord and His wisdom in dealing with depression.
In addition, we want to address the issue of suicide, which is a real spiritual battle. God's word tells us that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians 6:12 (WEB). So, we need to pray for Suleman's deliverance from any spiritual attack that may be causing him to feel suicidal.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up Suleman to Your throne of grace. Lord, we ask that You would heal him from his depression and deliver him from any thoughts of suicide. We pray that You would give him a sound mind and a healthy body, and that You would restore to him the joy of Your salvation.
We also ask that You would give his family peace and comfort during this difficult time. Help them to trust in You and to lean on You for strength and guidance.
In the name of Jesus Christ, we rebuke any spirit of depression, suicide, or anxiety that may be attacking Suleman. We command it to leave in Jesus' name, and we ask that You would fill Suleman with Your Holy Spirit and surround him with Your angels to protect and guide him.
Lord, we ask that You would bring godly counselors and mentors into Suleman's life to help him overcome this struggle and to grow in his faith. We ask that You would use this trial to draw him closer to You and to strengthen his faith.
Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers and for being faithful to answer. We trust in You and in Your promises, and we ask all of this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
