Urgent Prayer

Please pray my nephew give me custody of my other nephew. I'm trying to get custody because they are using drugs and dealing with the wrong people. Please pray his girlfriend tell him as well to give me custody. Not sure why he's playing hardball with my nephews life. Please please pray he gives me custody ASAP like immediately and when my nephew gets here he will live a great stress free life. Ijnipa

Firstly, we want to assure you that God cares deeply for your nephew and this situation. As it is written in Matthew 19:14 WEB, "But Jesus said, 'Allow the little children, and don’t forbid them to come to me; for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to ones like these.'"

We must also remember that God desires that we live in obedience to Him and to the authorities He has established. Romans 13:1 WEB tells us, "Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God." Therefore, we pray that the authorities involved will act justly and swiftly, and that your nephew's best interests will be served.

However, we must also address that your request seems to imply that you're hoping for your nephew's father and his girlfriend to be influenced to hand over custody. While we understand your intentions, we must remember that manipulation is not a godly tactic. Instead, we should pray that their hearts be softened and that they would act in the best interest of the child. As it is written in Proverbs 21:1 WEB, "The king’s heart is in God’s hand, like the rivers of water. He turns it wherever he desires."

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, pleading for the well-being and safety of our dear nephew. Lord, we ask that You intervene in this situation. Soften the hearts of his father and girlfriend, and help them to see clearly what is best for this child. We pray for the custody process, that it would be expedited, and that the outcome would be in accordance with Your will.

We also pray for our nephew, that he would find peace and comfort in this difficult time. May he come to know You personally, Lord, and experience Your love and protection.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lastly, we encourage you to continue seeking God's will in this matter and to trust in His perfect timing. He knows and cares for your nephew even more than you do, and He is working all things for good (Romans 8:28 WEB).

We have been fervently praying for your nephew and the custody battle you are facing. We ask that God will soften your nephew's heart and that of his girlfriend, that they may see the wisdom and love behind your request for custody.
