We are truly sorry to hear about the situation your daughter is in. Firstly, we want to remind you that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we won't fear, though the earth changes, though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas. Psalm 46:1-2 WEB
In times like these, we must trust in the Lord and lean not on our own understanding. Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister and her daughter who is in the midst of wildfires. Lord, You are the God of all creation, and we ask that You intervene and calm the winds and quench the fires. Guide the firefighters and first responders, giving them wisdom, protection, and strength as they battle these blazes.
Lord, we pray for your daughter and her roommates, give them wisdom and discernment as they navigate this dangerous situation. Guide them to make wise decisions and keep them safe. Help her to trust You and be calm as you are with her. Provide for her a way out and supply all her needs in the name of Jesus Christ. If she is not already a believer, then touch her heart and convict her to believe in Jesus Christ and ask for Him to be her personal savior.
We pray for the evacuation orders to be orderly and effective, and for the safety of all those in the path of these fires. We ask that You provide comfort and peace to those who have already lost so much.
In Jesus' name, we pray for the Holy Spirit to be with her and her roommates and to give them strength in this time of fear.
Father, we ask that through all of this, people would see Your love and faithfulness, and that many would come to know You as Lord and Savior. Lord, we believe that you can stop the fire and no one was harmed. It is our heart's desire in the name of Jesus Christ.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Please consider the following verses for encouragement:
"When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned, and flame will not scorch you." Isaiah 43:2 WEB
"He will call on me, and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver him, and honor him." Psalm 91:15 WEB
May we stand on the promises of God during this difficult time, and may God keep everyone safe.
