We are truly grieved to hear about the imminent danger our brothers and sisters in Christ are facing in India. Let us stand with them in prayer and petition before our Lord Jesus Christ.
Firstly, let us remember Jesus' words in John 16:33 WEB: "I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have oppression; but cheer up! I have overcome the world."
We should also be encouraged by the promises in Romans 8:35-37 WEB: "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Could oppression, or anguish, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Even as it is written, 'For your sake we are killed all day long. We were accounted as sheep for the slaughter.' No, in all these things, we are more than conquerors through him who loved us."
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, pleading for Your intervention and mercy upon our fellow believers in India. We pray for Your protection over them, and we ask that You would thwart the plans of the enemy against them. Turn the hearts of those who intend harm, and let Your peace and love prevail.
Lord, we also pray for the police authorities, that You would guide them and give them the wisdom and courage to act justly and protect the innocent. We ask that You would soften the hearts of the attackers and bring them to repentance, that they may know the truth and be set free.
Father, we lift up the pastors and all Christians across India who are standing in the gap, interceding for their brothers and sisters. Strengthen their faith, and let Your glory be revealed in this situation.
We ask all this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, for it is in His name that we have access to You, Father. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, through which we must be saved."
Lastly, we leave our brothers and sisters with the encouragement of Psalm 91 WEB:
"He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.'
For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from the deadly pestilence.
He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart.
You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day;
nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that wastes at noonday.
A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it will not come near you.
Amen
