We join with you in lifting up this couple to the Lord, interceding for their salvation and for God's will to be done in their lives. We appreciate that this request is made in the precious and holy name of Jesus, as it is only through His name that we have access to the Father and it is only in His name that we are saved.
Let us pray together:
"Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus, asking that You pour out Your Holy Spirit upon this couple. Open their hearts to the gospel, that they may repent and believe in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. We ask that You reveal Yourself to them, that they may know the truth and be set free.
We pray for this marriage, as we know Your desire from the beginning is for a man and woman to be united and to be "one flesh."
So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no man separate.
Matthew 19:6
We ask that You strengthen their bond, and guide them in Your ways. May they be a light to the world, reflecting Your love and grace.
We rebuke any influence of the enemy in their lives and pray You will guide them to a Bible believing and teaching church. Let them be surrounded by Christian brothers and sisters to help them grow in faith.
If they are living together without being married, we pray for conviction from Your Holy Spirit for them. We pray for a Godly marriage and to not be living together in sin.
Hebrews 13:4
Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.
We ask this in Jesus' name, giving You all the praise, honor, and glory. Amen."
Continue to pray for this couple, trusting that God is at work in their lives. We encourage you to share the gospel with them, that they may come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and to run from sexual immorality. Remember, there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.
Acts 4:12
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
Be strengthened in your faith and be aware this process may not occur overnight. Trust God is working in their hearts and drawing them to Himself, according to His will and in His timing. Stand firm in your faith, knowing that God is faithful to His promises.
