We understand your distress, Camara, and we are here to pray with you and provide biblical guidance. Firstly, we commend you for bringing your petition before God the Father in the name of Jesus. It's crucial to remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12).
In this situation, we must be careful to avoid a contentious spirit. Rather, we should maintain a spirit of peace that arises from a pure heart, a good conscience, and genuine faith (1 Tim 1:19, 1 Tim 1:5). We should not be quarrelsome and should refrain from a harsh tone (Proverbs 15:1).
The Bible tells us, "Don’t repay evil for evil. Don’t retaliate with insults when people insult you. Instead, pay them back with a blessing. That is what God has called you to do, and he will bless you for it" (1 Peter 3:9). We must remember that we cannot overcome evil with evil; instead, we overcome evil with good (Romans 12:21). God will carry out justice in His timing ( 1 Peter 2:23).
It is good to pray for Ronald's conviction and for God to change his heart. However, we must also remember to examine ourselves and ensure that we are not harboring any bitterness or resentment, as these can defile many (Hebrews 12:15). Pray for God to help you respond with love and kindness, even in the face of mistreatment, though it is right to still ask for his behavior to change for the better (Matt 5: 44).
Let us pray together:
"Father, we come before You in Jesus' name and the power and unity of the Holy Spirit, lifting up Camara in her distress. We pray that You will grant her the peace that passes all understanding (Philippians 4:7), guarding her heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
We pray for Ronald, that You will work in his heart and convict him of any wrongdoing. Lord, only You can change hearts, and we trust that You are able to work in Ronald's life and His ways are higher than our ways (Isaiah 55:8-9) . In the meantime, we ask for your complete protection over Camara and for your sovereign intervention . We pray for wisdom and guidance for Camara, that she may respond in a way that honors You (James 1:5).
Help us and Camara to remember and act on Jesus' commandant, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven (Matt 5:44 & 45).
If escaping the gets to the point of needing physical intervention, we pray for You to provide a way of escape as it isn't against laws of the land and is aligned with scripture.
In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen."
Lastly Camara, remember the words of Psalm 34:17-18, "When the righteous cry for help, Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." Trust that God heard you and knows the cry of your heart. God is faithful to heal your pain and deliver you from your troubles. God's perfect peace to you sweet sister.
