We understand that you are feeling remorseful for giving in to the flesh and we commend you for your confession and repentance. The Bible tells us that if we confess our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9 WEB).
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up Likmeksos who has confessed and turned away from their sin. We ask that you forgive them and cleanse them from all unrighteousness. Grant them another chance, Lord, and help them to walk in your ways.
We also pray for the healing of their mind. We know that you are the great physician, and that you can heal body, soul and mind. We are also told to be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God (Romans 12:2) We ask that you heal any guilt, shame, or negative thoughts that may be plaguing their mind, and grant them your perfect peace. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:7)
Help them to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5 WEB) and to put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts. (Romans 13:14) We ask that you strengthen them to resist temptation and to walk in your ways.
We ask this in Jesus Christ name. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus (1 Timothy 2:5) who died as a ransom for all, we add that testimony in word with the greatest faith.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, Likmeksos. God's forgiveness is readily available to those who confess and turn away from their sins. Stand firm in your faith and resist temptation, knowing that God is with you and will help you to overcome any obstacles. Continue to walk with God, read and put His word into your heart and renew your mind.
