Urgent prayer request

Please pray for me, I made a bad decision tonight. I gave in to the flesh and masturbated. I feel so bad about this it was not a wise choice and I wish I can take it back but I can't. But I confess and forsake this sin and I just asked that you please pray that God forgives me and gives me another chance. In Jesus name amen

We are truly grateful for your honesty and your desire to turn from this sin. We are all tempted and fall short of God's glory, but God's mercy and forgiveness are readily available when we confess our sins and repent. As it is written in 1 John 1:9 WEB:

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Masturbation is a form of sexual immorality and is a sin against your own body, as well as against God. It is clear in scripture that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit and should be honored as such. As it says in scripture.

Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s. 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 WEB

Let us pray for you:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother Likmeksos who has confessed and turned away from the sin that so easily entangles. We pray that You would forgive him and cleanse him from all unrighteousness. Give him the strength and grace to resist temptation and to walk in purity. Help him to take every thought captive to obey Christ and to honor his body as a temple of the Holy Spirit.

We have the confidence in our faith in Christ Jesus that You not only listen to our prayers but that they are effective and will see results. We pray this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

Encourage yourself in the Lord. Walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh. Galatians 5:16. Until then, rely on God's strength as well as encouragement from other believers to help get over this temptation.

Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength and never fall out of love with You.
