We join with you, MSC Prayers, in lifting up ### and the individual she's speaking with. It's vital that we seek God's will in all our relationships, and we commend you for acknowledging this in your request.
Let's pray together:
"Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ. We lift up ### and the individual she's in communication with. We ask that Your perfect will be done in their lives. Guide their conversations and interactions, and help them to discern Your plan for their relationship. If it is Your will, may their friendship grow into a godly union that honors and glorifies You. We also lift up their family members and loved ones, asking that they too may be drawn closer to You through this situation.
We pray that both ### and this individual would seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness (Matthew 6:33 WEB), trusting that You will guide their steps. If their relationship is not in accordance with Your will, we ask that You give them the strength and wisdom to redirect their path.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage ### and her friend to meditate on 2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB, which reminds us, "Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" As they consider their future, may they be mindful of the importance of being equally yoked in faith.
Lastly, we praise you, MSC Prayers, for praying in the name of Jesus. As Jesus Himself said, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." (John 14:13-14 WEB). May we all continue to pray with such faith and boldness.
