We are truly sorry to hear about the abuse you've been enduring, and we are here to support you in prayer and truth. Firstly, we want to remind you that God is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you. (Psalm 9:9-10 WEB)
We will pray for the swift sale of your late father's house, but we also want to address some points that are crucial for your spiritual well-being. You mentioned that you have support from your local community and your GP, but you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through the name of Jesus that we can approach God and be saved. For there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved, (Acts 4:12 WEB). We encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, for he cares for you. Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved. (Psalm 55:22 WEB)
We also want to remind you that God does not want you to live in fear or abuse. He wants you to be free and have life in abundance. The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I have come that they may have life, and may have it abundantly. (John 10:10 WEB)
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister/brother who is in desperate need of your intervention. Lord, we pray for the swift sale of their late father's house so that they can escape the abuse they've been enduring. We pray that the funds from the sale will be enough to sustain them as they start their new life, free from oppression.
We also pray that they will come to know you, Lord, through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We pray that they will put their trust in you, and that you will guide them to a community of believers who will support them spiritually and emotionally.
We rebuke the spirit of abuse and manipulation, Lord, and we ask that you will heal their heart from the wounds they've endured. We pray that you will give them a new song to sing, a song of praise to our God. Many will see it, and fear, and will trust in the Lord. (Psalm 40:3 WEB)
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
