Disciple of Prayer
Urgent prayer request: Please pray for my dad Frank who went into the hospital with bleeding on the brain. The bleeding and swelling on the brain caused him to go into a coma last Friday. He is also on a ventilator. The Pulmonologist said that he has some pneumonia also. Today we were told by a neurosurgeon that my dad had a major stroke and probably has no brain function left. He has said that the brain bleed was major when we were told that it was mild in the beginning and would eventually go away. The neuro suggested that we pull the plug. My doctor brother in Texas who is an orthopedic surgeon is also in favor of pulling the plug. I know these people are just speaking from a medical standpoint. My parents, husband, and I are all cursillistas with a strong faith. My doctor brother stopped practicing his faith years ago. We are putting all of our trust in God and I truly believe that God can perform a miracle. I truly believe that he can heal my dad and bring him back. The power of prayer can work wonders; especially in numbers. When we visit my dad, and others visit him; my dad will respond by raising his eyebrows etc. We know that he can hear us, so I do not believe that there is no brain function there. PLease pray for my dad to make a complete recovery and come back to us; if it is accordance with God's will. If God does perform a miracle healing on my dad, I am hoping that it will bring my two brothers back to the church, and people on their knees in praise and thanksgiving for God's goodness and mercy. I know that God will reward my dad for his strong and unwavering faith all of these years. Also for all of the people that he has brought back to the church, or brought closer to Christ. Thank you.
