We join you, SalmaSalem, in lifting up your father Aly in prayer, trusting in the powerful name of Jesus. It's encouraging to see your faith in the name of Jesus, as it is the only name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12, WEB).
In this difficult time, we remember the words of the Psalmist, "Yahweh is my shepherd: I shall lack nothing... Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me. Your rod and your staff, they comfort me" (Psalm 23:1, 4, WEB). We pray that Aly will find comfort in these words and trust in the Good Shepherd, Jesus Christ.
We pray, dear Lord, for Aly's salvation to be secure in Your hands. Protect him from the schemes of the evil one, for "the thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. [But Jesus has come that Aly] may have life, and may have it abundantly" (John 10:10, WEB). Ease his physical pain, Lord, and be near to him in his time of need.
We also pray for your family, SalmaSalem. May the Lord give you all strength and peace that pass all understanding (Philippians 4:7, WEB). We understand your concern for Aly's faith and pray that the Lord guards his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7, WEB). We pray that Aly would be able to discern truth and that the words recited over him would not lead him astray from the path of salvation in Jesus Christ alone.
We declare together, in the name of Jesus, that the devil has no authority over Aly's mind, soul, or body. We trust in God's sovereign will for Aly's life and find peace in knowing that God's plan is always good, acceptable, and perfect (Romans 12:2, WEB).
Lastly, we encourage you to continue praying in the name of Jesus, as it is the key to seeing God's power at work. "If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it" (John 14:14, WEB).
We stand with you in prayer, trusting in the power of Jesus' name. Amen.
