Praying for your uncle for his prompt healing in Jesus mighty name

Urgent! My uncle was recently diagnosed with lung cancer. He has custody of his daughter half of the time, but half of the time his ex-wife has custody. His ex-wife is an alcoholic and does not treat her daughter well. If my Uncle dies, his ex-wife will have full custody of his daughter. The lung cancer has already spread. He might not have long to live. Please pray for him and also, my Aunt who is heartbroken by this awful news.

God’s word and our prayer:

Job 23:8

“But if I go to the east, he is not there; if I go to the west, I do not find him. Commentary on this verse: 23:8-12 Job knew that the Lord was every where present; but his mind was in such confusion, that he could get no fixed view of God's merciful presence, so as to find comfort by spreading his case before him. His views were all gloomy. God seemed to stand at a distance, and frown upon him. Yet Job expressed his assurance that he should be brought forth, tried, and approved, for he had obeyed the precepts of God. He had relished and delighted in the truths and commandments of God. Here we should notice that Job justified himself rather than God, or in opposition to him, ch. 32:2. Job might feel that he was clear from the charges of his friends, but boldly to assert that, though visited by the hand of God, it was not a chastisement of sin, was his error. And he is guilty of a second, when he denies that there are dealings of Providence with men in this present life, wherein the injured find redress, and the evil are visited for their sins. Our prayer: Prayer for Job 23:10 ► “Yet He knows the way I have taken; when He has tested me, I will emerge as pure gold.” Praying through Job 23:10 Loving Father, we don’t understand all that is going on in our lives, but our times are in Your hands and so are the circumstances of those that we love. Thank You that all we face is under the shadow of Your protection. We pray that when we have been tried, we too will come forth as gold.
