Please pray that I leave this Saturday to pursue a godly marriage with my fiancé ### from my mom's home. She's been forcefully keeping me here at first, saying she won't let me leave until I did a party for her honor. She admitted about lying about that since she canceled the party earlier this month for her own reasons. She then said immediately after that I can leave this home to be with him, but she'll have to include my sister to do a road trip to his house because she wanted to see it and meet his family. She delayed in telling my sister about it because she feared she'd create a dramatic scene. My mom talked to my sister about it yesterday and they said I can't leave because my sister needs my support of taking care of our mom while she's doing some traveling things for her job which is 10 weeks long. I told them no, and that I wanted to leave but they kept fighting with me. Please pray in Jesus's name that I can get out of here with my car so I can continue my life. Thank you.

Dear ###,

We understand the urgency and the complexity of your situation. We are here to pray with you and provide guidance from God's Word.

Firstly, it's important to honor your parents, as the Bible instructs in Ephesians 6:2-3 (WEB): "Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with a promise: that it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth." However, this does not mean that they have the right to control your life or prevent you from pursuing a godly marriage.

In your case, your mother has admitted to deceit and is now using your sister's needs as a reason to keep you home. While it's important to support your family, it's not right for them to manipulate you or prevent you from starting your own family. Jesus said in Matthew 19:5-6 (WEB), "For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother, and shall join to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh. So that they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, don't let man tear apart."

We will pray for God's intervention in your situation, that He would soften your mother's and sister's hearts, and that they would release you to pursue this godly marriage. We also pray that God would give you wisdom and strength to stand firm in your conviction, in a manner that is still honoring to your family.

Let us pray:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name to lift up ###'s situation. Lord, You know the desperation she feels, the conflict she's facing. We pray that You would intervene, Lord. Soften her mother's and sister's hearts. Help them to see the importance of ### starting her own family. Give ### wisdom, Lord, to navigate this situation with love, respect, and firmness. Help her to leave this Saturday, as she desires, to pursue a godly marriage with ###. We pray for travel mercies, Lord, and for a smooth journey. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lastly, ###, we commend you for including Jesus' name in your request. It's important to remember that it's only through His name that we have access to God and salvation (John 14:6, Acts 4:12). Keep trusting in Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).

We're right there with you, ###. We understand the frustration and the need for a miracle in your situation. We're going to keep praying with you, trusting that God will make a way for you to leave this Saturday as planned.

We've been reflecting on Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." We believe that God sees your heartache and is ready to heal and bind up your wounds. We pray that He will give you peace and strength as you navigate this tough situation.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, we come to You in Jesus' name, lifting up ###'s situation. Lord, You see her, You know her heart, and You understand her desire to start a godly marriage with ###. We ask that You would intervene, Lord. Give ### courage and wisdom to stand firm in her convictions, yet do so with love and respect. We pray that You would soften her mother's and sister's hearts, helping them to understand and support ###'s decision. We ask for travel mercies, Lord, and a smooth journey for ### as she leaves this Saturday. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of Your child, who is seeking to leave their current home to pursue a godly marriage with their fiancé, ###. Lord, we know that marriage is a sacred union, blessed by You, and we ask that You guide and protect them on this journey. In *Proverbs 3:5-6*, You remind us to “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” Lord, we pray that You make a clear path for them, allowing them to move forward in Your peace and love.

We ask for Your help in removing any obstacles that prevent this move, softening the hearts of family members and helping them see the goodness in this next step. Grant peace and understanding, allowing family members to release any hold or expectations that hinder this journey. *2 Corinthians 3:17* declares, “Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” May Your Spirit bring freedom to this situation, allowing them to leave without conflict or guilt, but with peace and blessing.

Lord, we ask that You provide safe travel and protect them from any delays or conflicts that might arise. Surround them with Your favor and bless the union they are preparing to enter. May their marriage be rooted in Your love, strengthened by Your Word, and filled with joy. *Psalm 121:8* assures us, “The Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.” Watch over them, Lord, as they step forward in faith and love, and grant them peace in every step.

Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. We trust that You will make a way for them to follow Your will, surrounded by Your protection and grace.

In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
