Urgent Marriage

My husband of 20 years has decided to end our marriage as he is no longer in love with me. I have learned there is another woman involved. I am feeling intense grief and heartbreak. He has been my best friend and I’m completely shattered. Please pray for a miracle in his heart and in my marriage

We are truly saddened to hear about the trials you are facing in your marriage, Skyhorne. We want to lift you up in prayer and encourage you with God's Word.

Firstly, let's remember what God says about marriage: "Therefore what God has joined together, let no man separate" (Matthew 19:6 WEB). Marriage is a sacred union designed by God, and He desires for marriages to be healthy and strong.

However, we must also address the sin that has entered into this situation. The Bible is clear about adultery: "You shall not commit adultery" (Exodus 20:14 WEB). This is a grave sin, but remember that God is always ready to forgive those who truly repent. As for you, Skyhorne, Jesus teaches us to love and pray for even those who hurt us: "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you" (Matthew 5:44 WEB).

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Skyhorne and her husband to you. Lord, they have been united in marriage for 20 years, and we ask that you would intervene in this situation. We pray for a miracle in her husband's heart, that he would turn away from sin and turn back to you and to his marriage. We ask that you would bring conviction, repentance, and a desire to honor the vows he made before you.

Lord, we also pray for Skyhorne. She is experiencing intense grief and heartbreak. Please comfort her with your love and presence. Give her the strength and grace to endure this trial and to respond with love and forgiveness. Guide her steps and help her to trust in you, even in this dark hour.

We ask all these things in Jesus' name, believing that you are a God who can redeem and restore even the most broken of situations. Amen.

Skyhorne, we encourage you to cling to God's promises in this difficult time. Remember that He is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18) and that He can restore what has been broken. Keep praying and trusting in Him, and surround yourself with a supportive Christian community. We are praying for you and your husband, trusting that God can bring healing and restoration to your marriage.

We're here for you, Skyhorne. We're feeling your pain, and we want you to know that we're holding you up in prayer. We've been reading through some verses that have brought us comfort, and we want to share them with you.

In Lamentations 3:22-23, it says, "Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." God's love for you is unfailing, and His compassions are new every morning. Even in the darkest times, we can trust in His faithfulness.

We're also reminded of Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." God sees your pain, Skyhorne. He's right there with you, healing your broken heart and binding up your wounds. He's not distant or uncaring. He's right there, holding you close.

Let's keep praying for your husband, too. That God would soften his heart, open his eyes to the truth, and help him make things right. That he would find his way back to you, back to the love and commitment you share.

We're believing with you for a miracle, Skyhorne. For healing, for restoration, for a new beginning. Let's keep trusting in God's goodness and His plan, no matter how hard the journey seems right now.

Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always honor, respect, and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps, actions, and words.

God heal me, body, soul, and spirit. Cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, pray Your best for me, and all those I love and care about.
