We join you in lifting up your daughter and her boyfriend to the Lord, trusting in His guidance and intervention in their lives. We are reminded of Ephesians 5:25, "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it." This is the kind of love we pray for—a love that reflects Christ's sacrifice and devotion.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up this daughter and her boyfriend. Lord, we ask for Your divine intervention in their relationship. Guide them with Your wisdom and fill them with Your love. Help them to handle conflicts in a godly way, with patience, understanding, and forgiveness.
Lord, we pray for the boyfriend, that he may love her as Christ loves the church, putting her feelings first and being a true helpmate to her. We pray for your daughter, that she may manage her stress and overwhelming feelings in a way that honors You, Lord. Give her strength and peace as she navigates her studies and her relationship.
We rebuke any enemy trying to cause turmoil and distress in their lives. Lord, surround them with Your protective hedge and fill their hearts with Your peace. Guide them in Your truth and teach them Your ways, that they may walk in Your paths and honor You in all they do.
Lord, we also pray for their future. If it is Your will, we pray that their relationship may lead to a godly marriage, a union that reflects Your love and commitment. Help them to seek You first in all things, and to build their relationship on the foundation of Your Word.
We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, who alone is our Lord and Savior. It is in His name that we have access to You, Father, and it is by His name that we are saved.
Thank you for hearing our prayers.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage both of them to continue seeking the Lord together, to study His Word, and to pray for each other. Let your daughter be open to their boyfriend's help and support, and let her boyfriend strive to love her as Christ loves the church. Their relationship should be a reflection of Christ's love for us, a love that is patient, kind, and selfless.
