We understand your desperation and fear for your husband ###'s health and spiritual well-being. Let's bring your concerns before the Lord in prayer and seek His will for your husband's healing and your family's spiritual restoration.
Let us first discuss the scriptures about medicine. Medicine is not evil.
The Bible says in 1 Timothy 5:23 (WEB) No longer drink only water, but use a little wine for your stomach’s sake and your frequent infirmities.
There is no condemnation for the sick for using medicine. But it is not good to live dependent on the medicine.
The best way is to trust in God and pray for healing. Let us also obey the Holy Spirit and take the medication. We know the medication can be used to reduce the pain. Let us pray for healing and restoration of faith.
Firstly, Psalm 147:3 states He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds
Lord Jesus, You are the Great Physician. You have the power to heal ### from all his ailments: his spinal fusion, aortic aneurysm, PMR joint pain, sleep apnea, cataract, mood swings, depression, and anger. We ask You to touch his body, mind, and spirit, and bring complete healing and restoration in Jesus's name.
Secondly, we pray against the spirit of depression and suicide. Lord, You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control in 2 Timothy 1:7 (WEB). We rebuke the enemy's attempts to destroy ###'s life and steal his joy.
Thirdly, we pray for God's will to be done and for ### to take his medication as prescribed. Lord, give ### the strength and wisdom to follow his medical regimen. Help him to understand that taking his medication is part of the healing process and a means to honor the body You have given him.
Fourthly, pray that he turns to the Holy Spirit for help to take the medication in the right way. As we know non-usage of prescribed medicine can affect patient care greatly.
Fifthly, we must also confront the blasphemous nature of the name provided. Lord, we rebuke the name Blasphygma, which is a form of blasphemy. We speak Your given names and things which are not defilement. We take these opportunities to proclaim the name Jesus Christ is the only Name worthy of taking unto your lips. It is the Name from which all blessing flow.
We are not speaking curses, defilement, and evil thoughts. As it is written Ephesians 4:29 Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear.
Ephesians 3:15 (WEB) from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named
Ephesians 2:21 (WEB) in whom the whole building, fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord;
Colossians 1:10 (WEB) that you may walk worthily of the Lord, to please him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God
Ezekiel 36:32 (WEB) I don’t do this for your sake, says the Lord Yahweh,
Sixthly, as we have seen in the scriptures, God does not condone such names and behavior. Though we as Christians must be wise to save the sheep and direct the erring brother back to the path of God these do not need to be raised as a public discussion. But rather discussed with those in spiritual authority regarding this matter.
2nd Corinthians 4:3 Even if our Good News is veiled, it is veiled in those who are dying,
4 in whom the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the Good News of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn on them.
5 For we don’t preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake;
6 seeing it is God who said, “Light will shine out of darkness,”✡ who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
Finally, we pray ###'s heart returns to the faith towards our Lord. In I Timothy 4 we know some will depart from the faith giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils and depart the faith.
We learn in Luke 17:32 in the parable of the fig tree the Lord admonishes us to remember Lot's wife. It is a warning, to remember the past, as not to repeat the past. Even the trials we once faced we could face again if we do not finish our race well. So let us always be strong remembering our lives are a vapor. In James 4:14
Here is what should be done. James urges us to say If the Lord wills we are do xyz or live. That is all we can do in our lives.
We will pray fervently for ###'s healing and your family's spiritual restoration.
To conclude, keep holding on to your faith and love for the Lord, He is our answer and we praise God, Jesus Christ Our Lord and The Comforter, Holy Spirit is with us to the end.
