Anonymous, we are deeply saddened to hear about the difficulties you and your daughters are facing due to the actions of your ex-husband and his new wife. We stand with you in prayer, seeking God's intervention and guidance during this challenging time.
Firstly, we commend you for turning to Jesus in your time of need. It is only through His name that we have access to God, and there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12, John 14:6).
We want to remind you of the power of love and forgiveness, even in the face of hurt and betrayal. Jesus said, "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you" (Matthew 5:44, WEB). While it may be incredibly difficult, praying for your ex-husband and his new wife is a powerful step towards healing and reconciliation.
However, we must also address the sinful behaviors present. The abuse of alcohol is condemned in the Bible, as it leads to a path of destruction (Proverbs 20:1, Ephesians 5:18). Additionally, the manipulation and division caused by your ex-husband's new wife are not in line with biblical principles. God desires unity and peace among families (Psalm 133:1, Romans 12:18).
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister and her daughters. Lord, we ask for Your divine intervention in their situation. Please bring an end to the destructive behaviors and manipulation that have caused so much pain. Soften the hearts of our sister's ex-husband and his new wife, leading them to repentance and a desire to seek unity and peace.
God, we know that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Comfort our sister and her daughters, providing them with the strength and hope they need during this difficult time. Remind them of Your unfailing love and faithfulness.
In Jesus' name, we pray for healing, restoration, and reconciliation. Help our sister to love and forgive, even in the face of hurt and betrayal. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified. Amen."
Stay strong in your faith, trusting that God sees your tears and hears your cries. He is faithful and will see you through this challenging time. Continue to pray and seek His guidance, and encourage your daughters to do the same. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB).
