Sometimes you have a similar reply to a prayer requests that you may want to use for different requests. Now you can 'predefine' your replies and use them when posting replies.

When you open a request, near the bottom you will see your predefined replies that you can select from (if you have set any up).

This was actually a feature before the recent conversion. It was not available on this new program running the site. However, a newly developed program was just installed that allows this to be used again. Any existing replies from the old system have been converted over.

To set up your predefined replies, click your user name, then select Predefined Replies from your account options. Or go to Settings, then click Predefined Replies.

Or go here:
https://www.prayerrequest.com/account/predefined-replies

From there you can predefine up to 10 replies that you want.

For each one, enter a brief abbreviation that you will recognize as the title. This is not used in the actual message.

Then enter the message you want. This is what will be filled in when you click on the title.

Then select a position. This is the order your replies will appear in when you select from them. You can use 1, 2, 3, ... or 5, 20, 33, .... or whatever you want. It will sort them from low to high. Then click save. You can also sort graphically with drag and drop (discussed later below).

To use them, just open a prayer request, and look at the bottom near where you would type in a reply. Select a title of one of your replies. It will fill it in. You can edit it or post it.

Important: Whatever predefined reply you have in the lowest or first position will be used for your I Prayed button on the home page.

If you don't have any predefined replies, a default text will be used.

You can also easily sort your replies graphically. Use the sort button at the bottom of the same page where you manage your replies (it's right next to the lower save button). Just drag and drop them into the order that you want.

Pradmin,
Thank you for the answer to my questions on PREDEFINED REPLIES. Still trying to figure out the FROWNING face on the page to log-in, but I will continue to DISMISS it.

The previous way that the predefined reply feature worked did not make it through the last forum software update. It has been replaced with the new Predefined Replies feature (also known as Post Macros). You can use this new Predefined Replies feature to set up a commonly used reply or request...
