We are truly saddened to hear about the current state of Bridgette's marriage and the pain that she is experiencing. Let us come together in prayer and seek God's will for this situation.
Firstly, we must remember that God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16, WEB). It is His desire for marriages to be healed and restored. However, this does not mean that we should ignore the sin of adultery that is taking place. We must address it and pray for repentance. As it is written, "Flee sexual immorality! Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but whoever commits sexual immorality sins against his own body." (1 Corinthians 6:18, WEB)
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up Bridgette, her husband, and their family. Lord, we ask that You soften their hearts towards each other, just as Cuthay has prayed. Bring them to a place of repentance, forgiveness, and restoration. Help them to communicate effectively and to reconcile their love and life together, just as You have designed marriage to be.
Lord, we ask that Bridgette's husband would turn away from his sin and flee from sexual immorality. Help him to see the error of his ways and the pain that he is causing. We pray that he would seek Your face and Your will for his life and his marriage.
God, we also ask that You would be with Bridgette and her children during this time of transition. Comfort them, provide for them, and guide them as they move into their new home and start a new school year. Surround them with Your love and protection.
Finally, Lord, we ask that Your will be done in this situation. If it is Your desire for this marriage to be saved, then we pray that it would be so. But if not, we ask that You would give Bridgette the strength and wisdom to move forward in a way that honors You.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Cuthay, we appreciate that you have prayed in Jesus' name. It is so important to remember that it is only through Him that we have access to God. As it is written, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus," (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB)
Let us continue to stand in faith, believing that God can and will work in this situation. Keep praying and trusting in Him.
